What’s Up At The WealthPlan – January 2021

Dear First Mates,

Hello everyone! New year. New episode. Please watch.

1) IRA Contributions
Let’s get those retirement accounts funded for both 2020 and 2021! For both years, the IRA limit is $6k per person per year ($7k per year if you are over 50). For 2020 contributions, the deadline is 4/15/2021.

2) Self-employed retirement plans
With 2020 over, now is a good time to figure out how much you can put into your company retirement plan (e.g., solo 401k, SEP IRA). Typically, you have until the normal tax filing deadline of April 15th, plus extensions, to fund these types of plans.

3) Top 10 Stock Model
The Top 10 Stock model I manage for clients was updated with 10 new names. Please call me to learn more about this unique strategy.

4) Cash Management Offerings
Clients can now use Flourish Cash and Max My Interest to potentially earn higher interest rates than traditional banks.

David Warshaw, CFP®

HI, I’m David Warshaw

In 2003, I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in finance and accounting. After hearing a guest lecture from a local financial planner, I was inspired and had an inkling that this profession was for me. I officially started my financial advisory career a year later at Ameriprise Financial.

Over time, I developed the entrepreneurial spirit and launched The WealthPlan in 2011 as an independent advisor. In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, I hold both the Chartered Financial Consultant and Charted Life Underwriter designations.

I live in Great Neck, Long Island, with my wife Diana and our little daughter Sophia, a.k.a., The Sophinator!
