What Working Together Looks Like

A clear picture of the relationship before you commit to anything

The Best First Step Is a Conversation

Your first two meetings are on us — no cost, no obligation.

In about an hour, we'll listen to where you are, learn what matters most to you, and show you exactly how we'd approach your situation. No pressure. No pitch. Just a real conversation.

That includes your Four Seasons Discovery Meeting and our Seven-Step Investment Process Meeting — both complimentary. It's our way of making sure you feel genuinely confident before committing to anything. Meet by phone, Zoom, or in person.

Meet Your Team

The people behind your plan.

David Warshaw
David Warshaw, CFP®
Founder & Private Wealth Advisor

I grew up in Oceanside, Long Island, where my biggest concerns were mastering breakdancing moves and beating video games. Some things haven't changed — I still own more games than I have time to play.

I went to Washington University in St. Louis, majored in finance and accounting, joined the breakdancing club, and learned Jeet Kune Do — Bruce Lee's martial art. I also spent six months studying abroad in Melbourne, Australia, where I bungee jumped, skydived, and saw the original Spider-Man in theaters.

The moment that pointed me toward this career happened in a classroom. My finance professor asked why people don't just hold on through market volatility — and I couldn't figure it out either. That question has followed me into every client relationship since. Most of what I do comes down to helping people stay calm when markets get loud.

Senior year, that same professor brought in a local financial planner to speak to the class. Light bulb. I started in the industry in 2004 and haven't looked back. I founded The WealthPlan LLC because I wanted to do this work on my own terms — with a real process, real relationships, and no corporate script.

I live and work in Great Neck, New York with my wife Diana and our daughter Sophia — a.k.a. The Sopinator, age 3, part angel, part chaos.

Outside the office I'm a movie nerd, a lifelong Spotify playlist curator, a Funko Pop collector, and someone with a deep love of Jewish theology and personal growth. I bring the same curiosity to both.

If you work with me, you're not getting a talking head. You're getting someone who will remember your goals, call you back fast, and — every season of the year — make sure your financial life is moving in the right direction.

David Warshaw, CFP®

HI, I’m David Warshaw

In 2003, I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in finance and accounting. After hearing a guest lecture from a local financial planner, I was inspired and had an inkling that this profession was for me. I officially started my financial advisory career a year later at Ameriprise Financial.

Over time, I developed the entrepreneurial spirit and launched The WealthPlan in 2011 as an independent advisor. In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, I hold both the Chartered Financial Consultant and Charted Life Underwriter designations.

I live in Great Neck, Long Island, with my wife Diana and our little daughter Sophia, a.k.a., The Sophinator!
